The B5Media network:

Why A Business Plan?

Many Baby Boomers are beginning businesses later in life. Boomers bring life experience and work experience that you will never get from a book. It comes from getting out there and working. I am convinced that most Boomers beginning businesses jump in with both feet and they rely on that life experience and work experience.

How many of you actually have a working business plan? Not a concept, but a business plan you have labored over that gives you a road map for your business? I have avoided writing my business plan for more years than I care to admit. But as I have looked for ideas to expand my coaching business I realize that I truly need a clear plan.

Why a Business Plan? Because there isn’t one winning team that ever started the championship game without a strategy or game plan. A good coach will consider their opponent and all of the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent. The coach will also consider his team, their strengths and their weaknesses. Ultimately, the coach will create a game plan that he believes will get him and his team in the winners circle.

Why a Business Plan? Because you ultimately want a successful business!

Why a Business Plan?

Your Business Plan will help you develop your strategy for success

Your Business Plan will give you a roadmap for your future success – How you will get there?

Your Business Plan should include your revenue goals, sales goals, and expenses

I am in process. My goal is to get my Business Plan written so that I have a VERY clear plan about what I am really attempting to accomplish with my business. I realize that I have struggled to increase and grow my business because I have been spinning my wheels in many ways. The game plan, my Business Plan will give me more focus to help me build my business. I dare you to stop thinking about it and get to writing it!

More to come on this topic!
