What does the foreign press say about Obama v. McCain?

by Jean on June 9th, 2008

It is always interesting and enlightening to see what the foreign press has to say about what’s happening in the U.S., without the filter of the U.S. media. Too often, all we see/hear is what the U.S. press wants us to see/hear. In this essay on what would happen if Obama and McCain were to win the election in November, the British paper The Independent spends time talking about the effects of their stated foreign and domestic policies, and other effects of a McCain presidency and an Obama presidency.

While there is not much of specific interest to baby boomers (no mention of Social Security, for example, and one mention that under Obama we might end up with universal health coverage), it’s worth a read.

Interesting take on the potential candidates, Jean, and a world under their presidencies. However, has Hillary really given up? Has she handed over her deligates to Obama?
