Video Testimonials Have Persuasive Power
I have been talking about Testimonials: Why you need them and how to get them. I also wrote yesterday about how the FTC wants to limit our use of testimonials. One kind of testimonial is more powerful than any other. That’s the video testimonial. If print and visual testimonials are powerful, video testimonials are even more so.
Here are a couple of examples:
Service Testimonial. First, watch these video testimonials for a photographer. I loved how the photos shown tied in perfectly with what the people were saying about the photographer. I was ready to sign up, and I don’t even have a wedding to shoot!
Patient Testimonial. Next, this example of a patient testimonial about acupuncture. I believe this woman – she’s REAL:
Product Testimonial: Last year I wrote about the benefits of Z-Coil footwear, and how it saved me a great deal of pain. This lady is obviously selling the fitflip shoes, but she convinced me to try them.
These people are believable and real, and powerfully persuasive. The FTC should not limit this kind of powerful persuasive advertising.

Great article on testimonial videos. I’m trying to get my clients to understand the power of online marketing.
Are there any small marketing firms that have had any experiences with converting more sales online from this method of video?
