Small Business Boomers

If the proposed Obamacare (Obama’s health care law) is passed, Boomers could be on their way to extinction.  According to Obama’s own words, pain pills should be dispensed rather than medical procedures that will prolong and improve the life of the elderly.
Boomers are gravitating into that category called “elderly” as they pass age 65.  The plan includes counseling on end of life procedures for Boomers rather than on medical ones to continue life if someone in an administrative position deems you unworthy to receive care. One of the proposals for the Obamacare health plans consists of fining people/businesses, up to $3800, if they don’t carry health insurance.  Under these rules, it won’t be an option whether you want health insurance or not (and some boomers are in the pre-Medicare age where they have a choice).

When I discussed in a post the proposed government control of the Internet, whereby President Obama could declare an emergency and interfere with private Internet use for “security” reasons,  one reader commented:  I think you’re overreacting. Controversy has arisen concerning President Obama’s speech nationwide to school children on Tuesday, September 8. Much concern also has been expressed about the lesson plans and suggested classroom discussion and activities.
Is this event solely to encourage youngsters to take their education seriously? Or is there an underlying motive to indoctrinate America’s young people? There are strong feelings on either side and in the middle. Some people wonder why this speech wasn’t scheduled for evening, when parents could watch the program with their youngsters and discuss it with them. Why was it targeted for school children in classroom situations?

A bill in Congress (S.773) proposes to give President Obama control of the Internet and our service providers.  Supposedly this is for emergency situations only, as a way to protect our national security against hackers and others wanting to shut down government and military institutions and interfere with the nation’s affairs.
Yes, this is a concern.  However, there are far reaching implications that could greatly affect your business and life.  Is this simply a ruse for Obama and those surrounding him, including key Democrats, to gain control of our lives, our businesses, our communications and our freedom?

Upon close scrutiny, you’ll find within the Obamacare proposals government parenting and grandparenting.  Home visits by government/state agents are indicated, whereby representatives will be able to “advise” those involved in children’s care on how to raise them.  This is under the guise of “health care.”
What we all wonder…are these simply suggestions?  Or will those raising children be required to follow the state’s agents’ advice.  Will this advice ignore parents and grandparents’ moral, ethical, and religious view in favor of state approved ones? Often these conclusions about childcare are made by people who don’t have children and have never raised them.

I do not understand what Obama is doing concerning Medicare. We are on a fixed income and Medicare is to our advantage for health care. Monies are taken out every month from our social security to pay for our Medicare part A and part B. I trust we will not be affected. Nothing is clear to the public. Just keep Medicare for those who have it and have been paying into it!!!

Nothing has been formalized nor signed into legislation yet about President Obama’s proposed health care program, which he and some members of Congress are trying to push through in the next couple of weeks without anyone reading the entire 1,000+ pages.  Even Obama admits, in interviews, that he doesn’t know all that it contains.
However, much discussion has evolved regarding it’s effect on Boomers, or those 65 years of age and older.  Some research indicates that people in that age category will be denied health care procedures and medication because they’ll be considered not productive enough to be worth the money …read more
