Send an Encouraging E-Mail Today
October 2, 2009 by Mary Emma Allen
I’ve often recommended sending a postcard, even a letter, a day to brighten someone’s hours, lighten their load, and offer encouragement. Sometimes we find we don’t get that done, don’t get to the post office, or we run out of stamps.
Make it a priority to send at least one encouraging e-mail a day. That takes only a minute or two. It may be:
- Someone you know needs encouragement
- Someone who has a birthday or anniversary
- Someone who isn’t feeling well
- Someone who has encountered a down time in their life
- Someone you want to thank (so many people forget to say “thank you”)
- Someone you haven’t heard from in awhile
- Someone who’s recently accomplished a goal or received an award
- Someone who’s a customer and you want to say “Hi” without any business reference
- Someone you want to touch bases with…just because
I like to hear from people…just because. What about you?
So I like to send e-mails…just because.
