Networking Tips: Send Online Business Invitations to Your Email List
I have been talking about networking this past week. One of the best pieces of networking advice I have received is to collect email addresses. Then keep in touch with these people. One way to keep in touch is to send them invitations; a new way to send online invitations is with one of the new online invitation sites, like Evite or Socializr.
That’s E-Vite (like in-vite). Evite is an online service that allows you to send free invitations to events. You select the invitation template and the words and you create the email list. Most of the sample invitations are for home and personal events - Homecoming, Wedding, etc. I didn’t see any business events, but I got interested when someone sent me an invitation for a grand opening for a chiropractic practice.
Notice that the free version does include ads at the top. I didn’t see a paid version, but it would be helpful to have one, so you didn’t have to send out an invitation with ads.
Socializr says they allow users to have more creativity and to personalize messages with video. Evite says you can send invitations by phone, to those Millenials on your list.
So get busy and send invitations to your email list. The more you stay in touch with networking contacts, the better will be your results.

Hi Jean,
Just wanted to say that I’ve started reading your blog. I’m wondering if you have heard about the book, “What Men Don’t Tell Women About Business”. I heard the guy (Chris Flett) on the Today Show and thought you probably have already heard of him. I’m wondering what your thoughts were. He seems to be really taking on the ‘Old Boys Club”. I just emailed him, but haven’t heard back.
Anyway, keep up the great writing.
Best,
Bihter.
