Long ago in a galaxy far, far away… the Star Wars phenomenon continues

March 18, 2008 by Jean Murray

Do you remember where you were when you say Star Wars for the first time? Were you absolutely blown away? I was. My children collected the Star Wars figures (I remember one Christmas Eve putting together a Millenium Falcon) and I will always regret selling all that stuff in a garage sale.

Star Wars is part of our culture. There are Star Wars courses in universities, and scholarly books written about the Star Wars phenomenon. But if you thought you had seen the last Star Wars movie, think again.

Susan Gunelius, over at b5media’s Brandcurve, says there’s another Star Wars movie coming out in August, a movie version of the game: Star Wars- The Clone Wars , along with an animated Star Wars TV series.

See what Susan says about these upcoming Star Wars events, and let her know what you think.

By the way, George Lucas is not technically a Baby Boomer, having been born in 1944, but close enough. After all, he was the co-writer and director of American Graffiti, a great classic Boomer movie.
