Headache Relief

This morning I woke up with a headache.  I knew why.  Yesterday I over exerted myself.  I went to my normal Saturday 2 hour yoga class where this little woman beans the snot out of me and 10 women.  In the afternoon I took my daughter’s dog, a puggle ( designer mutt – Pugh and Beagle) for an hour walk.  Okay, so my body was upset with me  and gave me a headache.

The really good news is that with a short 10 minute workout with yoga my headache and several little nagging aches were gone.  Let me say that another way.  Without taking any “medication” I got rid of a stabbing headache. 

I will say that it may come back while I’m watching the Packers play the New york Giants, but I know I can get rid of it with the same routine.  And, I can do it without missing a play.

The benefits of yoga exercise and I found each other 10 years ago.  I’ve never gone in for the “spiritual” portion of the yoga culture, because I generally don’t do in for that sort of thing.  I’ve got my own approach which makes sense to me.  However, the physical aspects of yoga have been extremely beneficial to me, my lifestyle and everyone around me.  Interestingly enough most people who know me would not attribute it to my practice of yoga.  Well, even Jesus had trouble as a prophet in his own community.

Bottom line, exercising with yoga takes care of my headaches, among other things.  I recommend it, but not necessarily the spiritual side.
