Happy 60th birthday to … ME!
Yes, it’s my 60th birthday. Hitting one of those decade milestones reminds me of the ones past and causes me to think about the future.
- On my 30th birthday, I was sitting around bemoaning the fact that I had no children yet. You know the one about “be careful what you wish for…” – Two years later I had triplets!
- On my 40th birthday, I was too busy to ponder anything. We were in the middle of a move to a new home and the moving truck was stuck on the hill going up to our house.
- On my 50th birthday, I was wondering if 50 was too old to get a PhD. I found out that lots of 50-somethings were doing just that, and got my PhD 3 years later.
- Today, I’m having a ball – teaching, writing, and … (believe it or not!) blogging. Who would have thought?
- On my 70th, I plan on having been on at least 10 trips, written 5 more books and 10,000 blog posts, and maybe I will be ready to catch up on all of those books I missed because I was too busy during my 60s.
My best wishes to all of you Baby Boomers who have birthdays today, and particularly to those of you who have a “milestone” birthday. Onward and upward to Social Security!
Jean

Congratulations, Jean!
That’s the fun part . . . life just keeps getting better. I agree!
Happy Birthday, Jean!
From your picture, you don’t look a day over… three!
Seems like a great age to start a couple of new home businesses.
Happy Birthday Jean!
