Executive Summary - Business Plan Part 4
The Executive Summary is one of the most important sections of your Business Plan. The Executive Summary is a “thumbnail sketch” of the your entire Business Plan. It is the first thing that will be read by an investor. It is important for you to include your business idea, a description of your business, your management team, and your mission statement. It is very important that your Business Plan be limited to no more than two pages.
Tell your story in your Executive Summary. Why should anyone use your product or service? Describe your target market briefly. Summarize the information that will be fouund in the larger Business Plan.
This is a summary, not a dissertation. Remember your Executive Summary should quickly communicate what you plan to do with your business. Lastly, it is very important that you include the numbers that those reviewing your business plan want to see – the amount of capital (money) you seek, the carefully calculated sales projections and your plan to repay the loan.
