Baby boomers were born between 1946 and 1964. That’s how boomers are counted by the U.S. Census Bureau.

Yes, there are differences between older and younger boomers, and some younger boomers don’t like to be included in the boomer category.

Generation Jones is a term coined by Jonathan Pontell to describe the generation of people born between 1954 and 1965. Although the term has a following, it doesn’t have official meaning.

Being female and having returned to IT working full time for the last 16 months, I was worked to exhaustion and offered a share in the company and then made redundent . Very hard to stop working after being full on. With 2 young teenagers did not feel able to just give up .. I applied for jobs and worked with family and also decided to retrain as a childminder. I had loved this job when my children were litte and I currently look after 1 child part time – its brill! I have also reestablised my ebay site selling 2nd hand goods and love scouring for items to sell. I have also started an Eco green site and I also have a part time job starting in Jan 2010. Not sure if it is an adventure but it’s very different … I have rediscovered arts and crafts, see my children and enjoy their company and am glad I am here for them. Not so rich money wise but rich in lots of other ways.

Seriously, this is a step in the wrong direction. Your feet have evolved over millions of years, so a shoe should make it possible to walk as if you were barefoot. Shoes should only protect from glass, stones, cold, etc. and not stabilize, cushion or absorb shocks. You have your achilles tendons and muscles for that. Walk barefoot or in minimal footwear for a while, strengthen your feet and your problems will be over.

Since starting my scrapbooking business, I have been personally rewarded by helping others. It can be a bit daunting to try to get started with the staggering number of products out there. I grew up doing scrapbooking so it has become second nature and I cherish all of my books. Doing layouts and books for others, whether traditional or digital, hopefully can produce something that someone else will cherish as well.

In addition to scrapbooking, which I love, it is important to record the stories of your living relatives.

Everybody has an interesting story to tell and passing it on to future generations is one thing we can do. Finding an old diary of an ancestor is great, it reveals so much, but in this day and age diaries are not so common. Take the time to talk with your extended family and record their life story.
