Ford’s prediction seems to be that Baby Boomers will continue to want smaller vehicles, even if gas prices don’t increase and the economy improves.  Apparently Ford is betting some of its production and sales predictions on this.
Many Boomers now are empty nesters without the need for vans and larger vehicles.  As they face retirement, there may be a need to downsize.
Where do you stand on this?
Personally, I prefer something larger, usually an SUV.  For a number of reasons:

If you’re experiencing a slowdown with your business during this sluggish economy, consider how you might be able to enter the “green” movement momentum.  If you can slant your business to encompass some phase of environmental concerns, you may be able to attract more customers.

Perhaps you already have a product that falls into the “green” category, but you simply haven’t been focusing on promoting this aspect.  So, rethink your promotion techniques.
What about providing a service that helps others conserve, reuse or recycle?  Perhaps this would incorporate some of your present products.

As I explain in Staying Organized Midst Computer Crash at My Organized Biz, I’m having challenges with my laptop, so am alternating time with my hubby at his desktop, which he also uses for an Internet based busiiness.  So far, I’m staying pretty much on schedule and having to reorganize only a few post deadlines.
I am having challenges with the photo issue.  I haven’t yet figured out how to get photos from his “My Pictures” to my posts.  This seems to work slightly different from my laptop.

Do you take your small business seriously?  Do you put business practices into place?  Do you think like an entrepreneur?

Set goals and know what you want to achieve
Set up a business plan (You’ll need this if you want to get financing.)
Keep accurate track of income and outgo.
Set up a bookkeeping system.
Keep specific times of business, especially if you have walk-in customers
Set up a web site and/or blog
Be persistent and consistent
