Business and Baseball
Everybody cheats. Right? I mean it’s only a game. It’s only baseball. Nobody died. Lots of people do that. It may hurt them down the road, but think of the money.
I mean, who really wants a quality product they can trust? What do they expect for their fifty bucks? It’s all just shades of gray.
Example doesn’t matter. Everyone operates on their own moral compass. On top of that, there isn’t any test for human growth hormone.
Ethics matter in baseball and business. Except for the con man and the thief, a quality product or service is an illusion until the suckers wise-up. So, if you aren’t promoting quality in what you produce and do everyday, all the time, what are you?
In the newspaper business they say “Don’t do anything you wouldn’t want to see printed in the paper.” It’s sort of a negative approach, but it hits the point. I’ll go you one better. Don’t do anything you wouldn’t want your children to read on the Internet.
