AccionUSA: Helping small business owners in US

by Jean on June 20th, 2008

AccionUSA is a part of Accion International. This organization helps small businesses across the country with small loans. They have special programs for minorities and women, to help them get loans.

Here is the information on these loans:

  • Loan amounts range from $500 to $25,000
  • Annual interest rate as low as 13%
  • Loan terms up to 60 months
  • Loan types include installment, balloon loans, and lines of credit
  • Loan purpose ranges from inventory and equipment purchase to business marketing, payment of licensing fees, and other expenses associated with building a business
  • Money in your hands (or loans disbursed) in 10 business days upon receipt of your completed application and all supporting documents
  • Flexible application documents—less than banks require.

In addition, they have the Abilities Fund to help people with disabilities get loans.

Wow! They could give the SBA a run for their money!
