Accion works around the world

Accion works in many countries around the world. Here are just a few examples of their projects:

In Africa:

EB-ACCION Savings & Loan, a unique microfinance partnership between ACCION and West Africa’s principal regional bank, Ecobank, has received its license to begin microfinance operations in Ghana. Forty-three EB-ACCION staff are poised to deliver microcredit, savings and microinsurance products in the country’s capital, Accra, helping small merchants, manufacturers and other microentrepreneurs to develop their businesses.

EB-ACCION, whose Ghana launch is the first step in what is anticipated to be a regional West African microfinance initiative with Ecobank, will begin operations on April 1^st, serving clients through two branches in the busy Accra marketplaces of Tudu and Lapaz. Two additional branches are scheduled to open in Accra later this year.
