A website for Baby Boomer women

February 2, 2008 by Jean Murray

I recently discovered the National Association of Baby Boomer Women and wanted to let you know about it. It is a membership site, and I haven’t joined yet.

They have online seminars and articles about subjects like finances, health, and dealing with Baby Boomer men. I particularly want to read the article about “Irritable Male Syndrome”

I’d be interested to know if you join and what you think.

  1. While you’re cruising around the internet, please check out BoomerDivaNation—a place where being a boomer reflects diversity.

Starting out on my 3rd career which happens to be the same as my first career.

When you talk about a hard business, think music. Seems to me that Boomers are as bad if not worse than our parents were when it comes to music. The adventure that made the music of the 60’s is gone. Most Boomers seem stuck in a time warp where sometime in the 70’s music died for them. Pity because there is so much good modern music available. And a lot of it is relevant to Boomers today. Not back when they were young.

Thanks for your comments. Music is very much inspired by what we were doing in our teens, and by memories of our teenage years. Ask someone in their 20s and they’ll tell you about their teenage music (totallly different from mine or yours).

I’ve visited the National Association of Baby Boomer Women and yes, they do have some interesting content. However, I strongly disagree paying for a membership. http://www.notjustthekitchen.com has over 250 interesting, informative articles geared to baby-boomer women and membership is not required to enjoy reading and commenting on them.
