7 Classic Cars Businesses You Can Start
August 16, 2008 by Jean Murray
Remember your first car? If you can remember the first car you drove/owned, you’re probably a guy. (I think it’s a genetic thing.) My husband can remember every car he’s ever owned, and he loves going to look at “classic cars” (those old cars from the 20s on up through the 70s). We have a friend who has a whole garage (not just a car space, but an entire garage) devoted to his classic car stuff.
The Detroit Free Press (of course) reports that many Baby Boomers are getting into the Classic Car business. And there are lots of businesses you can start that relate to Classic Cars:
- Selling classic cars
- Selling classic car parts
- Selling “classic car” clothing
- Putting together “classic car” trips, events, cruises (not the ocean type)
- Create books, guides for buying and selling classic cars
- Writing magazine articles about classic cars
- Selling miniature classic cars
Any more that you can think of? What could you do to use your talents to be a part of the “classic car” boom?

I just happen to be one of those guys that love old cars and I have a web site devoted to classic car parts and accessories and I’m an older guy in my 70’s. Love those old cars….visit my garage at:

We enjoy automobiles, trucks and motorcycles from 1895 to the present. We charge a search fee, $10-$25. We can find anything auto-related.
Enjoyour web site.
My love of classic cars stems from my mother, vice my father like most people might suspect. I grew to understand why she liked them so much…they have character and history. I am not really what you would call a baby boomer, but I have a great love for classic cars and I have a classic car business and hope to expand the features of my business and websites.
